It is worth mentioning that you might come across different Bengali dates for the same Gregorian date in various newspapers. This is due to the existence of two distinct approaches followed by Panjika Makers in West Bengal. One school of thought adheres to the ancient and traditional 'Surya Siddhanta' method, while the other follows the 'Drik Siddhanta' or 'Bishuddha Siddhanta' method. When it comes to lunar day or tithi timings, the Bishuddha Siddhanta provides accurate timing, and we ensure that both methods are covered in our application.

Additionally, we offer home screen widgets that display the current Bengali date. In some widgets, it also shows the current time in India for users residing outside of the country. Before using the widget, you will be prompted to select your preferred 'Panjika'.
